Pauline and her two teenage daughters, Beth and Vera, inherit an old villa full of ancient relics and dolls that make the atmosphere gloomy and disquieting. During the night, two intruders enter the house and take the girls hostage. Pauline struggles desperately for the lives of her daughters and manages to get the better of the assailants, but the trauma of that night will forever mark the fate of the girls. While Beth manages to react and leave the past behind, becoming a successful writer, Vera does not overcome the shock and closes her in her paranoia. Sixteen years later, Beth receives a phone call from her sister asking for help. So the girl returns to the dollhouse where she will discover that the nightmare, in reality, is not over yet ...
