Responsible for staging the new Ghostbusters film is Jason Reitman (Up in the Air), who also co-wrote the script with Gil Kenan (Poltergeist Remake). Reitman's father, Ivan, produced the original Ghostbusters strips (Ghostbusters - The Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2) from 1984 and 1989. Unlike Paul Feig's Reboot Ghostbusters (2016) with the female ghost hunters around Kate McKinnon, Kristin Wiig, Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy from 2016, the new offshoot of the franchise is located in the world of originals.In theaters June 30, 2020
